Point of Interest:

For the first kilometre, the path crosses dense colonies of Calabrian pine trees; for the third kilometre, it crosses an impressive and dense black pine forest (Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana) at higher elevations. At various locations along the trail, panoramic views will be available. The path is situated within the Troodos National Forest Park. This is Flora Golden oak (Quercus alnifolia), Purple Rock Cress (Arabis purpurea), Manouthkia (Pterocephalus multiflorus subsp. multiflorus – an evergreen small shrub with pale pink flowers), Cyprus Skullcap (Scutellaria cypria subsp. cypria), and Troodos Sage (Salvia willeana) are among the endemic plants that can be studied while hiking. Mammals are the principal species of fauna present in the region. Sheep, fox, and hedgehog. The birds Wood pigeon, Bonelli’s eagle, Eurasian jay, partridge, Cyprus warbler (endemic), and Cyprus wheatear are all endemic species. Diverse reptiles Viper of Cyprus, serpent of Cyprus (endemic), and lizard of Cyprus.
